By Bernanke Andros Xavier

There are some people who commence dieting daily. Initially, the objective is to lose a few pounds and it is surprising how few actually stay with the original plan and lose. The causes of these breakdowns are numerous. The most common of which usually relates to good planning - or, more appropriately, the lack thereof. Positive attitude is necessary: Even though the majority of people are now overweight, modern society still looks down on fat people.

Goals for the short-term should be set: From the time the goal was first set to the time your progress will be measured should only be about a week. Doing this over many times, you weight loss program is broken down into short increments. In this way, you can keep your eyes on the realizable goals instead of becoming frustrated with your apparent lack of progress. As long as your plan is only one week at a time, and that is all the farther ahead you look, it should not be that hard to do. Restating everything as by the week should make it much easier, because 30 days sounds like a long time to be doing something. It is a much simpler way, when you only need to think about seven days at a time. It is just a mental thing to make it sound easier, like saying 15 minutes after dinner each day, rather than exercising every day. Create measurable goals: With your goals try to combine the quantity aspect to the quality factor. This can help you to achieve many purposes, including objective measurement of your progress. Instead of just setting a time period to lose weight which would be a quality, you also want to look at how many pounds you want to lose, and that would be quantity. Another example of this is eating an extra serving that day of something healthy such as fruit, salad or a vegetable rather than focus on less food consumption, which would be quantity over quality. This is can be a way to track your progress.

Goals as a reward: A good way to remain motivated is by getting rewards. Starting as an infant, being human, people are better at achieving when having positive reinforcement. Motivation to aim higher is different for all people, as some will do it for money, and others for love, and others have another reason altogether. Going on a diet program, this will also be proven true. You need to be challenged, but not so much that your goals can't be reached. Something like losing 2 pounds, would be an achievable goal to aim for. As that goal is reach, give yourself a positive motivator as a reward, and move on to the next goal.

If you are not smart when you set your goals, you more than likely won't lose any weight. The main reasons people don't reach their goals is, having goals they don't believe they can reach, and also never writing their goals down.

If you're intent on shedding pounds, then establishing a nice objective is definitely going to help. One way a lot of women decide on this is to purchase a nice set of coordinating bra and panties. That way they'll realize they will look great. Why don't you search for some matching bra and panties right now?
